This is very heart wrenching for me. Boston is my hometown for those of you who don't know, and I live within driving distance of this place. I am so humbled by the courageousness and selflessness these men and women display on a day to day basis. They're always waiting to save you, your family, and even your pets should you be trapped in a burning building, even though they might not even know you at all.
I am the nephew of a firefighter who lost his life in December, and I'm always at a loss for words when these kinds of things happen. I'm going to try and make it to the funerals (if they're open to the public). Its the least I can do to show my respect for the men and women who put their lives on the line to save strangers.
I'm going to pray tonight, and keep the loved ones and fellow firefighters in my hearts for this evening.
