I think it is pretty obvious that there are a lot of people who are starting to be really turned off by Trump, a lot of them are people who voted for him in 2016. In my own family I have two people who voted for him, but who will not vote for him again. We stayed away from political discussions for 4 years, but they are now openly saying things that are totally in opposition to Donald Trump.
It seems like this Covid 19 put the final nails in his political coffin. He had a perfect opportunity to show leadership and non partisan actions to get us through this virus. But noooooooooo, Mr Dumb s*** had to be his usual ugly natured self and attack even the scientists and medical professionals who know this stuff and whose advice we should all be following.
A perfect example of his lack of leadership and his stupidity is his unwillingness to wear a damn mask ! Let's face it, NONE OF US like wearing a mask, but I do it for me, and for you. All he had to do was act like a grownup , wear a mask, and not look like a buffoon for refusing to comply, like the rest of us.
If there is any upside to this virus, it is that it exposed him to even some of his most loyal voters. Yeah , there are some die hard Trumpees who will go to the grave defending him, but the smarter ones are starting to break away, and that should be really demonstrated in November.
Same story with the family trump supporters. Though they haven't said they've given up yet, but the subject never comes up.
- the one time it did a few years back, I just said something like "Yeah, there may be a few things Trump has done that I don't disagree with" (which is true) - and I think he got the gist of it
