Former Secretary of Defense James Mattis:

"Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people—does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us...

We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort.

We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership.

We can unite without him, drawing on the strengths inherent in our civil society.

This will not be easy, as the past few days have shown, but we owe it to our fellow citizens; to past generations that bled to defend our promise; and to our children."

What a convenient time for an "inspection"

The President continued to ignore calls for him to calm racial tension and instead claimed the reason he was moved to a bunker on Friday night amid violent protests was for an "inspection" rather than safety concerns.

If you can't build a wall between the USA & Mexico, building a wall around the WhiteHouse is a good 2nd best option.

Or better still, relocate the White House to Mexico with Trump in it, put it in the middle of a swamp populated by large, hungry alligators, build a wall around it (with the alligators on the inside), knock the building down and smoke bomb the remains of the building to drive the occupant out into the open.

Sounds like a plan the Mexican government would be happy to give approval for.

You guys think you've got things bad over there...? You've got trump. That's bad. Waddya think of this then......

I have culled this from Hansard (the daily verbatim record of the proceedings of the House of Commons). It's an exchange that took place on Wednesday between MP's and Mr Jacob Rees-Mogg (Conservative), Official Title: Leader of the House of Commons. More risibly known by the people however, as the Minister for the Nineteenth Century. The following exchange will explain why:

Selaine Saxby (North Devon) (Con)

"As we have noticed on being back in the Chamber this week, many of us across the House are in desperate need of a trip to the hairdresser. As we begin to look at measures for such businesses to reopen in July, when can the House expect an update, so that hairdressers, hotels and other hospitality businesses can adequately prepare to reopen with social distancing measures in place?"

Mr Rees-Mogg

"When I was a child I remember there being a song called “Long Haired Lover from Liverpool”. I have never aimed, in my whole career, to end up looking like the long-haired lover from Liverpool, but I fear I am heading in that direction. I have never had longer hair and I am beginning to wonder whether I ought to ask nanny if she can find a pudding bowl and put it on and see if something can be done as an emergency measure."

Chris Bryant (Rhondda) (Lab)

Does nanny count as part of your household?

Mr Rees-Mogg

"Of course nanny is part of the household. What a daft question. But I am pleased to tell my hon. Friend that the Government are working with industry representatives to develop safe ways for some industries, such as hairdressers, to reopen at the earliest point. I think many of us will feel there is a burden lifted from our shoulders when the hairdressers are reopened."

Mr Deputy Speaker (Mr Nigel Evans)

"Sadly, Leader of the House, not all of us have a nanny."

Mr Rees-Mogg had no response to this. It has been speculated that he is completely unaware that not all households have a nanny.

Yes folks.... this is how the Mother of all Parliaments is functioning at this time.

Sounds like he's building a wall of military personnel around the White House:

Yahoo

Thousands of federal law enforcement and military personnel have been called to Washington to respond to growing demonstrations sparked by the death of George Floyd, an African-American man who was killed by Minneapolis police on May 25, but the Trump administration has so far refused to disclose many of the details about who is policing the nation’s capital.

He's definitely not the most powerful man on the planet, not by a long shot. Do you think the guy really in charge is someone who's name you have ever even heard? He doesn't even make his own agenda, it's a globalist agenda hidden behind a shroud of 8th grade level rhetoric. I'm not sure he even knows it
