It's not looking good for the impeachment process. His impeachment or lack of will be based on the whims of those who installed him in the first place.

Trump was already impeached. So relative to impeachment, things look pretty good if you don't like Trump. He is the 3rd U.S. president in the history of the USA to be impeached. Done deal... history.

Now as to the Senate vote to remove/not remove Trump from office, we've known since the beginning that the odds are that the Senate will not remove Trump from office.

And, it has nothing to do with the whims of those who installed him in the first place... they, aka the American voter, don't really have a say in the removal beyond the Senators that they voted for.

Trump won.

Like it or not the popular vote (i.e. majority vote) is not how our system works.

We could argue all day about whether that is the way it should or should not be, but until "we" change the system it remains as is... Trump won the election regardless of the popular vote count.

Congressman Matt Gaetz is calling for an ethics investigation of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after she ripped up a copy of President Trump's State of the Union speech. The Florida Republican tweeted a letter he wrote to top members of the House Ethics Committee calling for an investigation into Pelosi's "flagrant violation of decorum."
