Democratic Republic of Congo: a train accident in the region of
western Kisai has caused more than 100 casualties and an undefined
number of injurds. The accident seems to have happened about a 170 km
north of Kanaga, the capital of the region.
The accident seems to have happend due to a technical malfunction of
the locomotive.
Interesting comment of one of the functioneers of the train agency:
the main part of the passengers did travel without
ticket.

In countries where people are more "by the book" - life is safer. So I say, until a bridge buckles in Minnesota! Don't you think a bridge should last more than forty years?

Well, richer countries are generally more "by the book" because they have the resources to be.

1. Richer countries police more, so fare hopping is not going to be as easy

2. There is less to gain by fare hopping, since the fare will be a much much lower percentage of your weekly wage.
