Torture ? Psychological or Physical which would be the worse form ?

A real life friend and I were talking about this after I had taken a big drink of something very cold . Having sensitive teeth I almost passed out from the immediate shock and pain .
We had been out working the garden plot getting it ready for planting , we came in chattering like magpies , i wasn't thinking obviously and wham instant torture.

This friend has very very tender feet , she can't walk across a carpeted floor without shoes on .


With that said .

Every one has read a book , watched a movie or heard a scary story where torture was part of the plot.
Peeling the skin off of a live victim or cactus needles under the finger nails kind of torture.

So for me , It would be for my mouth to be filled with crushed ice and me not being able to spit it out or swallow it while it melted.

For my friend she thinks if she had to walk barefoot over thumb tacks or goat head stickers for miles and miles .

What would be your own personal worse torture ever imagined ?

This one is an easy one for me. I'm very Irish and have fair white skin. I burn very easily. Having a horrible sun burn and taking a shower is absolute hell. I suppose torture would be being in the shower and not being able to get out of the shower or turn the shower off. That would suck serious balls!

Yes , that is some seriouse pain . I have had a nail ripped off once.

Room 101 contains the worst thing in the world you can possibly imagine. In the story, Winston Smith is taken to Room 101 and confronted by his deepest, darkest fear.

Orwell's take on torture explored the psychological aspect rather than the physical. Perhaps this thread could discuss which form of torture an individual find the worse.
