Like I said. Mine gets posted every year. And yeah, I get it thrown into my face occasionally.
Even had one person state how much & try to offer a bribe for me to go away.

Maybe because it isn't really anybody's business how much money you make unless you, yourself, want people to know that.

Teaching isn't a part time job either. As much as I hate hearing teachers whine about how little they make even though they average more than my husband and I combined, it's not an easy job and they (theoretically) paid their dues to get there.

No, the tax payer is where their wages come from. The school district is their boss.

If you have a problem with how much they are making, address the school board.

But it doesn't matter what I think they're worth. I don't set their salary.

My salary this year was roughly $55,000 as a teacher, with a great benefits package. I'm on a step scale that will have me being paid $85,000 by the time I retire at 65 (in today's dollars). Afterwards, my pension will be paying me and/or my wife approximately what I am making this year until both of us are gone.

This is standard for California teachers. It's not 6 figure, but I cannot complain, as it is a job I love, not to mention a school year is only 185 days out of 365.

Thanks lol, although my teaching position is a bit different than a classroom teaching position. I could never do that lol.
