If you just bought it and it states it has never been done it is always best to get it done right away regardless of mileage as you dont know much about the cars history.

Shouldnt cost too much for a Renault Clio they are easy enough to do.

That is why, if your ever unsure if the belt has been done, its best to get it done right away.

My dads gonna service it next week while I'm on holiday, so I'll just get him to change it then to be safe.

As of late, I'm so used to new cars that i haven't had a car long enough to worry about timing belts. Usually trade it in before it ever hits high mileage.

It's 72,000 miles so I'm hoping it's been done. I've just phoned them to ask, they gonna ring back.

The cars done 81,000.

I also asked for the handbook, cos it wasn't in the car.

I had one of those blow and had to replace my engine. Luckily it was still under warrenty. 60K is the milage I would recommend to change it at, but don't chance it on going over 75K
