Time travel..

Imagine you have a time machine, however its only good to go to one place in history and the return journey, Where would you go and why?

I think mine would be back to Rome at the height of their empire, I would like to know how something so great could come from something so little but also how it can be toppled!

I'd probably go back t Scotland during the time William Wallace was alive and all the fighting for their freedom was taking place just to meet him,and know what he was really like.

But I'll settle on seeing modern Egypt when I finally save up for my trip

I wouldn't want to go back. I'm too used to modern amenities to go back to days without electricity, indoor plumbing, central heat and air, internet, etc. I''d like to see what the future is like, perhaps 1,000 years into the future, to see what happens to future generations of my family, see what new technology has evolved, etc. Heck, maybe by then they'll all be able to time travel as much as they want.
