And God is not a scientific subject. Either you believe it or not.

So you are saying that even though god cannot be proven, you just believe.

But when it comes to animals, you are willing to believe things that are not proven.

Ok.

If you can find a scientist who has studied animal knowledge of right and wrong, post it in the science section.

Since it is relevant to the discussion we are here having, I'll post it here.

Animals can tell right from wrong

Just wondering...

These biology teachers of yours, do any of them also have degrees in Philosophy, Religion, Sociology, Law, Behavioral Science, Language, Communications, Education or Psychology... or any other subject matter that would deal with things like "right vs wrong" or "moral codes" of behavior?

Or are they just Biologists (either specialists or generalists)?

My college biology professor had a PhD. I don't know in what?

I'm willing consider the possibility that some animals have some sense of morality, but I doubt you'll find anyone who has studied it.

Well dah? Of course, that is founding myth of religion. Everything has at least one founding myth.

Of course, scientific ideas should have a basis in some kind of research.

I have been told by people, who have studied biology for decades that animals act by instinct.

Animals do act by instinct... sometimes... maybe even most of the time... but so do humans.

Psalm 86:5

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Thought for today:

"If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker. It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance."

1 Corinthians 2:9

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

The kicker in the verse you cited is where it says "for them that love him." It's difficult if not almost impossible to follow through on loving God as he ought to be loved and, honestly, loving God at all. If anyone can demonstrate real passion and fealty to God I believe that in itself is a miracle.

It's all rather abstract, so before love, one might work on understanding.

One the other hand, God doesn't cheat in relationships, he doesn't hog the bathroom in the morning, and he doesn't borrow clothes without asking; so maybe I can love God easier than I can love people.

Yes... King David... he was very poetic, but not the best role model.

One might wonder if god was actually wooed by Dave's words... flattery will get you everywhere...

Or was god just a little be smarter than that...

Of course that would be just a rhetorical question as one can only conjecture what a fictional character might think and feel.

...what was really going on in the mind of Professor Severus Snape‽

PS
I love the inter bang; "‽".
