If abortion were legal in her country, yes, she would have had another option.

It's really easy for us to day "Oh well just give it up for adoption, face the shame."

Well you don't know what their life is like over there. The family shame, disownment, severe poverty, ect.

Again, there's not easy way out of a situation like this and I completely understand that the mother would be reminded of that. Adoption, however, is a great option. While the mother may not be mentally stable enough to care for the child the way it needs, another couple who cannot have children would love to take a baby into their home. There are so many possible situations one could throw around on whether or not it's right or wrong. All in all, a baby, fetus, blastula, whatever you want to call it, is a life created for a purpose and i do not see any right to end it.
