Think again.

I have an inhereted spreadsheet and no one could tell me the password for the Visual Basic project.

$29 and 30 seconds later, I have an unlocked visual basic project. Same company also makes password crackers for all the Office Suite products. There are many, many companies selling these products and they are completely legal.

Makes you think.

You can get those products for free on some shady corners of the internet.

With most Word and Excel documents, it's very very easy to extract changes that have been made since you first wrote the document.

The only answer is to copy and paste the text into a new document before you send it to someone else.

at work, they use to make me use this program at the end of every day. it did some s*** to all my word documents, i dunno if it made any kind of difference in security or what not, but people would get pissed at me all the time for not running it, and could tell if i didn't.

Interesting. Word even keeps track of how long you spent editing a document. Oh dear

I didn't realise Word kept a recent hyperlink log I'm guessing it's only links followed from the document though, rather than your internet history, cause otherwise would have looked like this -
