An editorial appeared in the June 13, 2008 edition of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that has pretty much gone into the annals of the media subconscious.

About halfway through the editorial there is a quote attributed to then Senator Barack Obama, who was actively campaigning for the presidential nomination of the Democrat Party; "Because our individual salvation depends on our collective salvation".
This is an interesting theory that has appeared throughout history in both socialist and communist movements. It was a working theory of the Soviet Union immediately after the communists rise to power in Russia.
Christian groups consider the theory of "collective salvation" to be very negative. The current Pope recently condemned the theory of collective salvation as expressed by the secular ruling class and employed by government entities as demonic.
So, look it up and get familiar with it, because it is the show that our good President and his Administration want to bring to town for all of us unwashed masses, both on the left and on the right. We all get in that tub together. What's your take on this? Are you for it and why? Are you against it and why? Time to stop giving support blindly. Know your leader and give a real reason why you'll go to the cliff with him.
Best, Jack McG
Too true! Problem is that yesterday is no longer in the mind of the present voter. It is in tomorrows hope
