The iPad... what can it do?

Is is basically an oversized iPhone without text, calling, or camera?

ugh, why does everyone who doesn't have the need for this device feel they have to rip on it...

I don't think it looks too bad, I'd quite like one if it wasn't so expensive.

I don't see the appeal . . . I'm sure it has many great features but, just like just about everything else out there, it's not for everyone. I will stick to my laptop and my ipod touch!

Well, yeah

They don't. 99% of the people who have bought one and think it's great don't have a need for it. I just don't see the point of paying over the odds (like with all Apple stuff) for something that is basically a laptop with some features and functions missing. I also don't like the way Apple fans never seem to have a valid argument when they try to defend the products. Their usual argument when I say my Nokia does something that they've just shown me on their iPhone is "Yeah, but it's a Nokia. Urgh!".

The iPad can keep you feeling fresh & clean all day.

But does it have a one-way dry-weave top sheet and enable you to go roller-skating and parachuting?

No I think it has a carved aluminum frame, but it's very smooth.

I have been an iPhone user for quite sometime and then I was able to try an iPad. It was much much faster and really ideal for browsing the web if you want convenience and all that. It's a major plus if you are into books too.
