Omg! That's the crap my Lacey used to do when she was a puppy! I never thought I'd ever see anything like it again.

My Amazing Mazy was like that. She couldn't dig under the gate or jump/climb over it, so she would set up a sympathetic vibration in the wooden gate and after about 3 or 4 hits at the right tempo, the latch would pop open. It would only happen when hitting the gate down low at her level. Took me a while to figure it out forcing me to have to lock the latch.

That's awesome! Dogs aren't my favourite animals, but the level of intelligence that some show is just remarkable. What breed of dog was Mazy, just out of curiosity?

What a smart Dog and a stupid owner.
Make the cage with no potential escape points.
Chain link fencing on a concrete surface would work.
Easy to clean too.

Concrete? May be easier for the owner but not nice for a dog.

Some AstroTurf® can be put in as well as a dog house. The concrete will keep their nails trimmed as well. I'd make it with the dog house outside of the cage with an opening to the dog house (connected to the chain link fence) so the dog can go in and out of it with ease.

She was a Jack Russel. Very intelligent but only when it came to her getting what she wanted. Obedience wasn't in her repertoire if there wasn't a treat in it for her or something.

Sweet dog.

Those are great pics. I like the last one, though. As if she's saying "Don't mind me. I'm just resting my a** on your pillow."

Jack Russels are really nice dogs. Very smart, great temperament and extremely entertaining. I remember when I went camping recently, there was a family that had a Jack Russel (Zipper) and another dog that was a collie crossed with something else (Atlus). Anyways, even though Zipper was the smaller of the two, he'd always boss the bigger dog around, who didn't seem to mind for some reason, even when he'd nip the back of Atlus' legs.

Thinkin', "When you finish taking that picture you aren't gonna do what I think you're gonna do are yaaaaaaaaaa?" That was before she wormed her way into sleeping indoors at night.

Mazy was great with people, but was very anti-other dogs. Sort of like, "just keep your distance and we'll be fine". Death on squirrels though, 20 at least.
