Does anyone else wonder if the current financial situation could be part of the fulfilment of one of the prophecies in Revelation?
According to revelations the Governments will turn on and "strip naked" false religion, starting with false Christendom. That does seem highly unlikey since religion and politics have been bedfellows for most of the last millenium, and beyond in the case of many non-christian religions, and continue to be so.
So why might they turn on religion in this way? Could the spark that ignites that fire not be the current desperate financila problems of most of the developed world?
I have to admit I can't think of a better incentive for governments to turn on their "paramour" of old.
