The draw and injuries havent done england any favours re the 6 nations. But injuries in particular may just be a blessing in disguise come the RWC as it should improve their depth.

I reckon Eire have a great chance to win the 6 nations with Cymru and england to battle it out for second. The highly unpredictable France should finish ahead of Scotland whilst the italians look like they will again prop up the table.

The opening match btw Cymru and england is going to be critical for both teams. A loss for either would make challenging Eire pretty difficult.

Good result for Cymru against the french. Big match tonight with Eire taking on england. If england win i reckon they will take out the 6 nations. If Eire wins then it could go down to thei match against Cymru. Could even be a three way tie at the top with the title decided on points difference.

On the sad passing of former All Black Jerry Collins (and his wife) in a car accident...sports writer Tommy Hurst wrote the following:

Jerry Collins has been remembered as the epitome of a rugby player and an All Black as tributes poured in following the death of the former New Zealand forward.

Collins and his wife Alana Madill died in a car accident near the town of Beziers in southern France in the early hours of Friday morning. The couple's baby daughter Ayla was also left in a critical condition after the collision with a bus.

The popular 34-year-old - revered as one the sport's true hardmen - played 48 times for the All Blacks in a seven-year international career that spanned the 2003 and 2007 World Cups.

Former All Blacks skipper Sean Fitzpatrick first encountered Collins when the Samoa-born back row was a teenager and having managed him at under-21 level, he came to know a man whose relentless ferocity as a player was offset by the warmth and compassion he displayed away from the pitch.

"Jerry was a man in a boy's body at that age and epitomised everything a rugby player and All Blacks should be. He will be remembered fondly," Fitzpatrick told BBC Radio Five.

"He became an All Black at a very young age (20) and went on to wear the jersey with pride. He was as tough as old boots on the field, but a loving man and very caring off the field."

"He was the nicest guy you would meet, but not someone you'd want to play against. We say good men make great All Blacks and he was a very, very good man."

Hopefully that little girl has a loving extended family to take up her care.
Bless her.
Such a tragic loss.

well for 70 mins or so the boks outplayed Australia. With a little under 10 mins to go they lead 20-10. An Australian try and conversion made it 20-17. With only a minute to go Australia earned a penalty well within range and on only a modest angle. Instead of taking the 3 pts and the draw Australia kicked to touch and managed to score the winning try to win 24-20.

Both sides were a wee bit rusty...esp Australia. Will need to play MUCH better to challenge the AB's. But it was an exciting finish.

Another cracking contest btw the boks and the AB's. Inthe end the latter came from 20-17 down to win 27-20. Can anyone stop the blokes from Aotearoa?

Really good game of rugby btw Australia and NZ. Infron tof 73,000 Australia defeated the AB's 27-19 (3 tries to 1). That win gave the Wallabies the 2015 Rugby Championship title. Huge test next week though when we travel to Auckland for the return leg.

Huge setback for Cymru with Leigh Halfpenny and Rhys Webb both injured against italy. Things not looking too flash for either bloke. Hope for the sake of Cymru that they are able to play a meaningful part in the world cup.
