The United Nations flew its flag at half-mast in honor of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Il Wednesday. A dictator who let his people starve to death needlessly.

Honor him? Really.

Well they named a capital after a man who owned slaves so it's not that big a deal surely.

Well suppose a General said he was going to kick some old colonial rulers out and 'free' his people. He won that war then only allowed 3% of those over the age of 18 the right to vote, kept black slaves and refused to give women and blacks the vote, would you honour him?

Never. They had it and couldn't keep it. They were too busy fighting each other until it was too late.
