BREAKING NEWS: Consumer advocate Ralph Nader announces presidential bid on ?Meet the Press?

I look for many more surprises before it is all said and done.

Who will this hurt?

He didn't spend any money, so far. Goes on MTP to make the announcement, no stumping so far! Very smart move imo!!

Perhaps this will spur Michael Bloomburg to throw his hat into the ring. He's much more appealing to me than John McCane.

I think we would have likely seen this is Huck got the GOP nod. But, Ross does not like McCain one minute and he could be up to something. He could back Bloomburg, but you can bet with Nader now in the race the surprises have just started.

The biggest thing to watch is how Hillary and the super delegates could blow up the Democratic convention. Now that would be worth the price of a ticket!

Damn, Darth Nader is back in the ring?

You'd think he would've learned his lesson after costing Al Gore the presidency back in 2000.

If Darth Nader wasn't in the race, Al Gore would be president.

Look on the bright side Nader (I hope) will take votes away from Saddam McCain plus Al Gore couldnt even win his home state plus the big issue was the fact that Al Gore won the popular vote not the electorate.

Why on earth would Nader take votes from McCain?

Grandpa Nader's a spent force. In 2000 he got less than 3 million votes, and in 2004 less than half a million. Basically he is and always was a non-factor in the general election. You can try and make the argument regarding Gore in 2000, but even then its a weak argument at best because Gore finished 9 states and 6 Electoral votes behind Bush. The focus was on Florida but Florida wasn't the only factor.

Nader is just running to ruin everything. He is a "spoiler". He's doing it just to run, he knows he can't win.

Money, time on TV to get to talk about his issues and concerns. Plus we'll more than likely see a book, etc..

He is just expanding his 15 minutes!!
