This test is not very good. I didn't answer over half of the questions because the questinos assumes that I agree with the premise in the first place. For example "Which would be better at curbing violent crime, more gun control, longer sentences for those who use guns in the comission of a crime or both?" What about "none of the above"? This is the problem with most of the questions in this test.

[Edit]

Further, this test only measures an individual in terms of whether or not they should vote democrat or republican. What if you dislike both major parties? How about just measuring general political ideology?

A better test would be the political compass test, which rober was gracious enough to post a few posts up from this one. That one is still not very accurate (as there is no option other then agree/disagree, why not an "I don't care" or "moderate"), but it's a lot better then this one.

An even better test that is very brief as well is The World\'s Smallest Political Quiz . 8)

He makes an interesting choice as he is a moderate. Lieberman wouldn't be too bad either, but that guy has problems with pushing religious agendas and that doesn't sit well with me. I think Condoleza Rice would make an interesting running mate for Powell. You would have two minorities and a woman running on a republican ticket. So much for republicans being a party full of racists.

Here's my compass results . It's not real accurate, but it gives the general idea. It actually puts me father right then I believe I actually am.
