It's not all about England and the USA, Can we discuss all the current games please...

The Dutch look a good bet to go a long way in this competition, I like the look of the lad Elia who came on for Holland in the second half he looks a exciting prospect.

I think like a lot of countries Holland have a good chance.

I reckon Brazil and Spain are the strong favourites then the teams with a possible chance of winning it would be the likes of Germany, Argentina, England, Holland, Portugal and Italy, I don't fancy France this tournament and that's not because they should'nt be in South Africa it's because a little team called Ireland made them look very ordinary on there own patch. My dark horses would be Uruguay, South Korea and Ivory Coast.

Germany looked strong as usual, but I did expect Australia to put up a bit more of a fight. Holland weren't looking that good until Denmark helped them on their way. I think Denmark bad more and better chances in the first half.

It was fairly even in the 1st half IMO, I thought Van pierse should of had a couple and in the end the Dutch could of won it by even more.

Football is easy, Eastie... Even the offside law is a doddle. It's less than half a page in the laws of the game (I looked it up).

I once silenced almost an entire pub full of footie fans just by knowing the law...!! Some player took a throw in and the winger got the ball from the throw and went belting off down the line, when everyone in the pub was screaming that he was offside. When the attack broke down, this bloke near the big screen was going "Bloody linesman can't see somebody that far offside, he's a f***ing disgrace"

I just said "I thought you couldn't be offside from a throw in".

Could have heard a pin drop.

Mind you, my missus said it looked a close thing as to whether we'd get out of there alive at one point. These blokes don't like being aced by women over football... especially the offside law (which they think is a mystery to women, but it isn't).

So don't let anyone blind you with a load of cobblers, just learn the few simple rules about the game and the rest is seeing with your own eyes and not listening to commentators, analysts and other assorted "experts".

Yeah I know blokes hate that sort of thing. Im hopeless with football, but I can beat them round a track in a Cosworth.

Alot of my female friends don't get the offside rule.

I've tried using the 'offside for girls' explaination but they still don't get it.
