Ahhh, Tino, I see what's happening now, at least on my screen.
The ad is there while I am creating, and it there right after
I post (but by the time I go back to the thread, the ad has disappeared). I like that!
Or is it that the ad appears briefly when the latest poster 'posts'?

dammit! lol, this keyboard is possessed.
Or maybe it's just ARTHER visiting.

Pretty easy. The only tricky one was the obesity one, which I thought I read somewhere was 33%.

This one was a bit tougher, got 31/33. Missed the one on the Puritans and the "Government of the people, by the people, for the people" one.

fractal, you're right, that one was a bit tougher,
and a lot more wordier too.

What's scary when looking at the results, only 17% of respondents could correctly answer the question about free markets vs central planning. And only a third of question takers know what a public good is.

Maybe it's going down? I wouldn't really know. My state is consistently declared the skiniest state in the union (OK I admit, I mostly just responded to you to brag).

I wonder if that's some sort of comparison question. Like, look, nobody knows s*** about social issues but they sure love using the internet!

10/11 - I was one of the dummies who didn't realize we spent the most on medicare.

--- this same question was posed a couple times in this thread.
Annski provided a possible answer, as quoted!

I did get it wrong, I think? I answered medicare, only because I know it is the worst source of state budget deficiency in my state (IL)

If you answered medicare on the debt question, then you
got it RIGHT! Medicare is the right answer!
Wonder which one you got wrong, then?
