Which is another reason lobbyists can get away with what this clown did. My bet is that the people associated with his "donations" were complicit and knew how the structuring worked. This present political class in D.C. is displaying all to well the need for term limits and restrictions on lobbyists and special interest groups interacting with national politicians. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/aug/5/superlobbyist-indicted-in-finance-scheme/

I'll just say one thing.

Do it with a precision laser, not a wrecking ball.

That strategy is being applied to Charlie Rangle and Maxine Waters now, but both are claiming prejudicial treatment, and are backed by the Congressional Black Caucus. Both are insisting on all charges being aired in the House. How does this help the Democrats in November? Seems the wrecking ball is being used by the accused.

Airing the charges for people to see is an effort to try and have the main Democratic party get away from what these people did. A kind of throwing under the bus, so to speak. We have yet to see whether this will work, though...
