Dear reader... im sorry to alwys having to be the one to write the most depressing of entries.. for people who do know me... they know im funny, smart.. giving loving caring... one of my friends actually called me a 2nd Guardian angel to others and I am grateful for that title.. However... over the last few days .. I have been having a tough time with my boyfriend of 3 years.. if you're a previous reader of my journals you would realize the hell ive been thru..so anyway...the other day I came upon a question... I asked him if he ever dreamt of his ex.. i mean she was his first everything... and that to me seems natural that in the past.. he would have done that.. he looked at me at said he never did.. that enraged ever part of me.. because I have been forgiving of almost every hurtful deceiving lying s*** he has ever done to me... but days later after time apart.. I called off our 3-4 year relationship... It hurts alot.. and I know many of you may think this is minor.. but to me.. its like for him to be lying over this .. it seems like he is putting her over me.. I walked away and ended our relationship..never to return again... plz tell me if I am wrong..

@Verstehen Said

I asked him if he ever dreamt of his ex..

Dumb question. Why would you ask that and why would you care?

@Verstehen Said

...he looked at me at said he never did..

I don't dream of my ex-girlfriends. Never have. I just don't dream about them... In fact, I don't have dreams about people very often... my dreams are more like floating thoughts...

@Verstehen Said

that enraged ever part of me..

Why?

@Verstehen Said

It hurts alot..

Why?

@Verstehen Said

and I know many of you may think this is minor..

It is very minor... extremely minor!!!!

@Verstehen Said

its like for him to be lying over this ..

You are assuming he is lying. If you asked me that question my answer would have be "No", and I would not have been lying.

@Verstehen Said

it seems like he is putting her over me..

No. It is not. Even if it was a "lie" he was giving you the answer that he thought you wanted.
He was thinking of YOU.

You, however, are being selfish and small minded about this.

@Verstehen Said

I walked away and ended our relationship..

Amazingly small minded of you.

@Verstehen Said

plz tell me if I am wrong..

You are wrong.

You asked a stupid question that you never should have asked and did not need to be asked.

HOWEVER, you already had the answer that you BELIEVED to be true in your head.

He had no chance.

If he said, "yes".... you would have been mad.

If he said "no"... well obviously you were mad.

NEVER ASK A QUESTION UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO ACCEPT THE ANSWER.

If you do ask the question:

A. Accept the answer.

B. Don't ask the question.

PS: Didn't you already break up with this guy for cheating on you? If so... quit being a child and move on.

If not... give the guy a break!!

I do think you are wrong, I assume you meant did he ever DAY-dream about his ex, as we can't help what we dream about.
If you don't trust him then he deserves to be free of you, not the other way round!
It's sad that you ended it this way as it sounds like he deserved better. If you continue to act like this you'll be a very lonely woman.

IMO, you ask a loaded question like, "I asked him if he ever dreamt of his ex.. ", you are not going to like what you hear.

If you are told the truth, you'll be pissed, and if they lie, you will be even more pissed at them for lying.

Why even do that to yourself?

^^^^^^^^
This... exactly this.

Has it occurred to you that maybe you wanted to end the relationship, and needed to give yourself a reason to do it? You might want to look in the mirror and question your motives.

Yep!

The first thing I thought of, with all of her posts and her journals, is that she is one of those that is never happy, unless she is unhappy/in a miserable situation.

When in a relationship with someone the last thing you should do is start probing about their past relationships. Live in the present and enjoy what you have with them. Stop trying to compare it to what they had with someone else or vise versa. Those questions never lead somewhere pleasant. If you want to be his "everything" stop making his past his everything.

On an unrelated note, I totally woke up with this song stuck in my head even though I haven't heard it in years.

Right, who cares how, where , when, why ect. All that matter is that someone wants to be with YOU, in the here and now.
I once went on a date and all this woman talked about was her previous ex, etc so I made my excuses and left. What a turn off huh?

If that was enough to make you walk after four years, that poor guy must have been walking on egg shells around you. I really feel for him.

Lucky he didn't put two sugars in her tea instead of the usual one, if they'd been married she'd have divorced him, over that, on the grounds of cruelty.

Till they piss her off.
I can't see this fly off the handle behaviour just limited to her boyfriend. Or ex.
