Is Ted Cruz legally able to become President. He was born in Canada. I thought you had to be born in the USA to be elected President?

You have to be a natural born citizen.

The Naturalization Act of 1790 stated that "the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens".

Same deal as Obama...his mother was a U.S. citizen from birth, Cruz was born to his mother who was then and remains a U.S. citizen, therefore Cruz is a natural born U.S. citizen regardless of where he was physically born.

He can run for office if people are stupid enough to support him.

Right, both his parents were citizens. That eliminates the argument the one is not enough. I couldn't remember if it was on base, though that does make the most sense.
Not that I questioned McCain's citizenship, just another example that saying born in another country can still be US soil. I don't know enough details about Cruz other than his mom was a citizen.

And don't forget Romney..... well I'd like to forget Romney but that's another issue.
Romney's father was born in Mexico. So like Obama is Kenyon.... Romney is Mexican.

More importantly, since Romney's dad was Mexican, it means that Romney supports illegal aliens, inner city gangs like MS-13, illegal drugs...and soccer.

I believe Romney's grandfather & grandmother were american which prolly negates him actually being Mexican but the irony still exists.
