We need a reset. Some form of Apocalypse where Technology is rendered useless. It has made us lazy and stupid and undoubtedly many other bad traits that will be our undoing.
I've used a computer since I was 11 (I'm 43 now) and I'm now moving in the opposite direction along with many other people in that I use a computer less and less with each day. I used to think I just had less to do on the computer or that I did most of it on my phone so didn't need to turn my laptops on but no, as I think about it more it is a conscious decision to use tech less and return to being "human" and interacting with other humans on a personal level.

Vinyl is on the rise. I even read recently that Cassette Tapes are making a massive comeback. "Dumb" phones are also on the increase with sales in % far exceeding smartphone sales which are on the decline.
Technology is Ok in it's place, but I don't like to be wholly dependent on it for something critical.
I also don't like the way that it has seeped it's way in to almost every aspect of life. And all that is technology is information. And that information can be (and is) used in shady to criminal ways.
I think that is the majority of my posts in this thread, to point out how dependent we are, and how invasive it can be - and how dangerous either of those situations are.
It's the subtle "How to boil a frog" directions.
I'm a proud flip-phone carrying member of the Wannabe Luddites Club!
- and that's only because my work requires me to be on call and available.
- I work in the tech profession, ironically.
I grew up in the heyday of cassettes. Buy an LP and immediately record to tape! - and I was just thinking - our "Party Tapes" I guess are equivalent to today's playlists.
