Tech Problem With Firefox...

For some reason I cant view youtube vids with Firefox I get a message on the site that says I have to download the latest version of Flash or change my Javascript settings.

Have done both - and a million other things - but to no avail.

I've done a search for solutions and tried all of them but nothing works.

Youtube vids play fine in I.E.

Any ideas anyone?

I've had problems on one computer with the latest version of flash player and firefox. I recommend getting one of the slightly older versions of flash player and it should work, like flash player 9 or something. Hope it helps.

Yes but he does hence his asking, if everyone had the problems im sure google would turn up something like he says he tried....

The latest version of flash and the latest version of firefox don't work together.I tried it on facebook, and firefox froze. however, I've never had problems with youtube videos. Best thing to do is just play youtube in IE or google chrome until they sort out their compatibility issues.

Idk if this is the right advice or not but I was having probs with firefox so I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it and it seems to be working fine now.

But all my youtube pages are saved in firefox and .... well... I hate I.E.

I think I'll cganhe the version of flash back to the old one as suggested.

Google chrome!!!

I suggest opera, its almost as fast as firefox but slightly less reliable. safari is very slow but extremely reliable chrome is just ugly and firefox seems faster to me. so there you go...

if they are bookmarked, click on "bookmarks" and then "organize bookmarks" and then "import and backup" and then "backup" and save the file to someplace safe. and if you reinstal firefox to import your bookmarks back, do the same when you get to "import and backup" select "restore --> choose file" then select the file you saved, and then all your backuped bookmarks will be back!

Uninstall Firefox, delete your profile (make a copy of it first so you can restore your bookmarks), then reinstall and create a new profile. Install Flash Player.

Should work fine.

I did read somewhere that there could be issues with Firefox not recognising that the latest version of Flash player was installed (because I certainly did install it). But then I've read so much stuff about this problem and none of the "fixes" have worked so far so I dunno.... maybe one day they'll release an updated version of flash that fixes the problem. I've tried everything so nighty night Firefox.

My version of flash is working fine with Firefox, perhaps you are thinking about IE8, particularly the x64 version
