According to the paper yesterday, rather a lot of people are objecting to the state of the BBC and are refusing to pay for their licences. I can understand why. Do you think that we get value for our money now?

I'd never really questioned it before but now I resent hard-earned money being wasted.

It is the most ridiculous sum of money, whether people like him or not. You'd have to be doing something to benefit an awful lot of people to justify that amount and even then it's too much. How does he sleep, knowing he's earned all that money for doing very little? Mad world.

I though it was the money just for Dr Who, then they put Catherine Tate on it.

So no, it's not.

I think just TV people are paid far too much anyways. I mean, they are just f***ing actors and presenters. Thier role in life is no more important than the people who collect my rubbish or the lady who crossed my kids over the road on the way to school.

Of course nothing can happen about it, its just ridiculous that society holds these people so valuable that we are prepared to pay them vast sums, yet nurses and carers and teachers are paid so badly.

I don't like the whole heavy handed approach they take on regarding the paying of licence's, not to say everyone shouldn't pay the same, just that they are ludicrously in your face about it all. I've been paying my tv license by DD for five years, and have only ever missed one payment, the threatening letter I got was beyond belief!

So much of license payers money is wasted too, those long intro's that announce you're watching BBC1 alone must cost them millions in a year, do I need to be reminded what channel I'm watching??

I think rubbish collectors and road-crossing ladies do a more important job than half the piss-wits on the television.

Every so often I fancy putting my feet up and watching something worthwhile. In the end, I give up trying to find anything. I prefer reading a book or talking on here.
