can you click anything on the top menu without getting logged out?

I've clicked everything in the header. Everything is okay & keeps me logged on - except for my own name.

Interestingly, home does not log me out anymore - it used to, which is why I was using the new topics page in the forum menu as a short cut for so long. You're right I can check kudos from there now. Cool.

Weirdly enough at the moment the only browser which works properly for tfs at the moment for me is IE, which is strange as normally it's my least favourite browser.

On your profile do you see your avatar at the top of the page to the right of the logo?

Works in these browsers that I've tested.
Opera 10
Firefox 3.0.13
IE 7
Chrome 2.0
Safari 3.2

I'll test the latest firefox too.

Oh this reminds me of a problem I used to have before I got Firefox. I had trouble viewing some members' profiles cause it said I had to be logged in to view their comments, or I had to be a member to view their profile, etc. That only happened with Internet Explorer, as soon as I changed browser, it stopped.

Yes. It has my chosen avatar - directly above POLLS, with ACCOUNT LOGOUT written next to it.

https://www.opera.com/

this link defaults to a mini download version for a cell/mobile phone.

IF you highly recommend this for PC I would be happy to do so, but I would need the link.

For now I think I will download firefox since youtube recognise that also.

You could also try https://www.firefox.com

1. Desktop. After install, you can delete from your desktop.
2. Yes
3. Yes. You can still use either one. It might ask you if you want to change your "default" browser. It's up to you which you want to be the default.
4. It will not delete your current browser.

That said, if you do indeed use Internet explorer 7.0 I'm not sure why you would be having this problem.

Tino, I am in the process of downloading firefox through this link to my desktop.

Once that is done, what should I do? Will it prompt me to install? If so, willit default to where it should be installed or will I have to tell it?

If it asks where I wish to install it, what should I choose? Program files?

Hi Tino

Thank you very much. You were right about browser settings.

I installed firefox and now I can click on my profile and not get logged out. Clicking on new topics within the forum threads does not log me out either.

Many, many, many, many thanks for your patience.

No it doesn't right under the big text where it says "Opera 10 with turbo" the download link is underneath it, for windows.

Pete, as Tino knows, I am not techno savvy. You'll have to forgive me if I missed something obvious.

As you'll see from the thread, Tino assisted me to load firefox successfully. So all is well here.
