Hard to make yer way through all the issues.
Like anything else, affirmative action is a good thing when
used as it was initially intended. However, it should not be used as a means to go to the head of the line, at the expense (or elimination) of someone else who is equally or more qualified for coveted spot.

If discriminating against someone based on race, religion, gender or sexual preference is illegal - it should be equally illegal to GO TO THE HEAD OF THE LINE based on your
race (or religion, or gender, or sexual preference).
