Suck My Plums!! Mr Bank Manager....

Frigging Bank managers are all the same, i think the have intel-inside writen on there arse... Ive tried 4 places to get a morgage with my girl friend these past few weeks.. and the best i can get is ?77,000 to ?82,000 morgage. And what pisses me off is that they even admitt that the average one bedroom flat starts at ?105,000...
So if i get the worse case sernario of ?77,000 morgage... add my mandatory 20 frigging % to it = ?92,400?? im ?13,000 short... to own a poxy little flat in Bristol... !!!
WTF!! so i went to Halifax, HSBC and the chelsea (which treated you like a human...).

Halifax- this is my favoroute, they said yes to a ?77,000 morgage, on a 20% deposit thing... which is great. Then i gave them the details of where i wanted to buy. they then said no, they cant give me a morgage.... I moved on...

HSBC- they where like an enigma code. I had to commit 110% before even getting a yay or nay on a morgage...

Chelsea- this place came about walking down the road and seeing a sign saying first time buyers... bla bla bla...
so i went in and had a chat. the morgage person was really nice and explained that banks today dont want to help first time buyers...

Conclussion...... So ive given up, my parents where lending me the deposit, but now they need it to sort out there place. So what next?? well renting seems like the only option. Banks dont want to know these days.. t***s.....

When I applied for a car loan with the bank I had a small personal loan with, I wanted to loans combined do reduce costs, I was refused because of two credit enquiries on car loans beforehand.

I never gave anybody but this bank to look into my credit. What happened was that two car dealers forged my signature to check out my rating.

Banks have way too much control on credit scoring... way too much!! they should get rid of this stupid thing where it effects your scoring because you get a quote.... whats with that??

Worse, is that here, a business that charges you a fee for services not rendered can still put you on the credit rating as a bad credit and you have no chance of getting your way.

I had my mortgage with alliance and leister with 20% deposit and fixed rate for 2 years at 4.5%
In 2 years i will be re-mortgaging.

you should try the RBS royal bank scotland they have some really good deal for 1st time buyers

Alliance and Leicester are owned by RBS I think. The number of various rates these guys have is scandalous.

I had a mortage with A&L for years and one day I had a financial adviser come to look at various investments etc we had to make sure there were doing as well as could be expected. I mentioned I still had a mortgage because of the tax relief perks he opened a screeen to show me the number of accounts those guys offer. I was paying a few percent over the odds and had done for years. Robbing bastards gave me a bad deal. I paid the mortgage off and took my investmetns away from them all together.
