Russia never send anybody in Ossetia to help th einjured, there was nobody injured. Russian tank and missiles were fired directly at Ossetians homes and buildings. It isnt the Georgian army that started fire in Ossetia but the Russian army oyu got it all wrong.

its a vital surveilance post for the USA to control Iran and maybe in the future to put a caserne there and some missiles shields top protect on future atom attack against Europe and the USA from Iran.

But since soem months there was turmoil in Georgia with different ethnies fighting, so the area was distabiliased, and thats what Russia used by invading it.
Since moths too, people from Georgia living at the borfder of south ossetia were fearing atacks form Ossetia constantly.. ossetian army is russian, and it ended up with gerogians troups coming over into south ossetia, who is inside georgia, and the reply from Russian army.
But Russia made the conflict escalate and killed many civilians in ossetia in the first day, and then in Georgia, and some ossetians milits did that too.
They went inside cities in Georgia and took what they could from people and killed and burned houses.
On the big scale, it go together with another conflict between Russia and USA international politic in the area, where USA want to insta a radar in Tchekia and some missiles shields in Poloand, and where Russian president Medvedev, has threatened those countries of invasion if they were to accept it.
USA has put presure since months on Poland to accept to have missile shields on its territory, while Russia said that it will invade Poland if Poland was to do it.

Its obvious that Russia used the fragility of Georgia internal affairs to show Poland and tchekia that tthey werent joking, and wil nvade them anytime any place..
But it had the opposit effect, cause the Polish president got cold feet of this,a nd signed the teaty, where he let the USA build a military unit there, in Poland with a caserne, and protective anti missile shields.
While putting the radar for it, in Tchekia, and in exchange Poland get the americans protection, in case some "alien nation" try to invade them.. of course pointed at Russia..
And Russia took it as a provocation, and said that those missile were pointed at Russia and not Iran, and were to attack Russia. So hte US have now said to medvedev that russian offical can come and control the missile shield at any time, so htey can see that its not agressive missile but missles wihtout an explosive head, meaning they are only there to can stop any A.missile goign from Iran in direction of Europe or the USA.
All the situation is real hot and is playing on many levels.
And all that during the olympic games.
But.. even so Bush pointed fingers at Medvedev, and even he assured the georgian president of his support agaisnt the russian army and talk of sending troups there, its all in the mouth, cause the USA do not have the capacity to do so, because of the conflict in the middles east who taped ressources in america since years, and because of the current economical crisis.. not good.
Add to this all the money that Russia is making on its oil exports, and with the huge price raising of oil since 3 years, sitting on its money coffin, fill up with our money..and you got the picture..
And this was taken advantage of as well, by Russia who knew that the US couldnt deliver.. so it looks real s***ty to say "if you do this then that", and send several ultimatums, and when they are not met, well, then you do nothing.. you looks like an idiot.. with no power.. and thats the sign that Bush just gave those days, and is the sign of a new world order.

So now the russian president is trying to do as if the problem was that missile shields in Poland ( who arent there yet) as an excuse for his attack, to put the blame on the americans, when talking on russians' medias, while Nicolas Sarkozy (french president) met with Medvedev, (before BUSH LEFT THE OLYMPIC IN CHINA and was still having his pictures taken with some female athlets..) to make the russian stop this s***, and Condolezza Rice talk to both Sarkozy, who is also the chairman of the European Union, to know what Medvedev was about, what he wanted as deal, and what Europe could do, and to Medvedev, to sign a peace treaty.

They made a lot of noize to show their points. So thousands of innocents get killed in a day (1500 up to now) so that Russia could say "me too, i want to be in in the game with the big ones"... "cause see what i can do if you dont let me in".
And in my meaning thats a s***ty way to make a deal, and a rather medieval mentality.
But with Poland being a member of the European Union, the russians are really cold in the a** and gross to go around and threaten to invade them if they make a decision that is in their own interest, and should regard them only as an independant nation. Its like threatening to invade Europe.
And i dont think that Russia could ever be ready to fight against Europe. They will have everything to lose by doing so. And I mean EVERYTHING.

Indeed Russia has a military past. It was attacked by Imperial France(now a "democratic" EU nation concerned with "world peace" )under Emperor Napoleon who had nice little plans for England, Germany and the rest of the world. Napoleon had to return empty-handed leaving three-fourths of his mighty army as fertilizer on the vast Russian steppes.

no, Ossetia is inside georgia territory, (south Ossetai is) but still kind of independent, and that pseudo independency was settled down in 1992, by borders keepers, from Georgia, south Ossetia, and Russia, so to protect invasion from any side.

The thing there is very complicated, thats not someone come in my living room so i go in yours and break your mirror and TV.,. no no, thats all about the money, where the pipelines pass through, the political influence, and long term political future.

Russia has grown invisible on the political scene in the past 15 years.. its the first time since then that its coming back.
They cant afford a cold war, they need the money, to sell their petrol to us to can have their cargo seiling our seas and all.. so no, no cold war this time, dude, just a hot potatoe by the end of summer, to forget the olympic some and come back to the fony reality of things.

HUMAN RIGHTS issues in China...hmmm. Let us put things in perspective.
USA, the most vocal of China's detractors, accuses China of summary arrests and executions, of human rights violations in Tibet, of state-controlled media and the list goes on.
While i do agree that there is still a degree of state-involvement in "some" issues, the man-on-the-street enjoys an unprecedented amount of "personal freedom". The chinese are in the throes of nationalistic fervor and there is little they are unwilling to suffer to take their country over that one last obstacle towards their goal. After all this was the nation that built the Great Wall. They are willing to bear a few inconveniences such as not having to chose between two jackasses for a leader, not having to kill someone else for believing a different god, not having to insult someone because he/she has the right to "free speech" if it means success for their country.
Let them do it their way!!
Looking back at history we begin to realize the true meaning of human rights.
Europe was a colonial power, attacking, annexing and raping Asia, Africa and the New World. Europe had objectives other than world peace those days like "government sponsored" drug-wars in China , "government approved" human-trafficking , "government supported" genocide...need i say more?
The USA took a hundred years/more to enfranchise people of African origin. USA has 3,264 people on death-row, China has a measely 1,900. The USA keeps aboriginal people on "reservations" with appalling housing, sanitation and health services. The USA dropped "two" atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing indiscriminately more than 8,00,000.
Let's look at China...they were colonized, lost the opium wars and had to provide European countries with customers for the opium they were selling!!!! . Lost 60,000 citizens in Nanjing because of Hirohito's madness.
I think China will need another thousand years to first equal Europe and USA's human rights violations. Only after that will US or Europe have the moral right to point their bloody fingers at China!

And that's the reason why we have Amnesty International. To do the finger-pointing
