I agree. It's important to keep talking to your children as they grow older. Parents spend so much time keeping track of the kids when they're little, but they seem to need just as much supervision when they're old enough to spend more time on their own. There is never a time when they are so mature that they don't need you.

My kids didn't want to talk to me because like all teens, they think I'm past it. I should have made more of an effort to keep communications open, interesting, get them to help me understand. Children are grown in a blink of an eye & you don't get to re-do it.
