instead of having it just lay in custard..

you're the baking master...
what kind of molds should I go with..
the new snazzy silicone thingies or some old brass / aluminum / tin ones?

For baking I prefer the non stick and easy in easy out of silicon.
But sometimes the silicon ones are not the right size.

But if you mold is too big, some times it doesn't have enough to be firm and stable, so the metal ones might be better.

I guess while size matters, its better that they are good and firm, the last thing you want is one wrong move, and everything to spill out prematurely before it gets all the way in the oven. That's just a mess and total disappointment.

Well the reviews on it are great. At least from what Amazon and a few other sites list. I'm highly skeptical though. I find most packaged desserts have an artificial flavor with a weird aftertaste. Also, for some reason it makes me think of army rations. Canned pudding.

I just want custard now. Or rice pudding. One of the two. Or both. Mixed together. Except that's just rice pudding. Something to do with custard and/or rice.
