It does not take much understanding of humans to know that your daughter had to learn to deal with ignorant people at one time or another. She'll get over it just like we have.

If you depend on other people there is a big chance you'll be let down at one point or another, just like we let others down sometimes.. (not inevitable though)

I think Buddhists come quite close to understanding the way people work, and how you can [be prepared for ]/[enjoy] anything this world has to offer.

I used to laugh at old people who did not put their money in the bank, but now it seems they were right all along. I think that when I have something to save I'll buy gold.
