I really don't understand why actors are always getting these sort of honours. All they've done is got paid a lot of money for doing a quite easy job that they enjoy.

So, what does being knighted get you?

Do you get discounts at the movies, or free dessert with dinner, or a new car??
Or do you just have people call you sir as a result..

Because I can put on a biker jacket and boots and go down to my neighborhood bar and get people to call me sir..

I think you get some priviledges like being called sir, you probably get a special badge and there is probably some old law that means you can walk into anyones house on a wednesday and demand cheese.
