I think we should. I am a big fan of boxing, and I would love to have a section about it. What do you guys think? Boxing is a dying sport, but MMA deserves it's own section at least lol.

I'm a boxing fan as well and when I joined here I was a bit disappointed that there is no boxing section. When you have to poke and prod to get one in here then you must realize that the level of chatters you'll get will be minimal anyhow and so you'll just gravitate to the true boxing sites in the end. As for boxing being a dying sport... not a chance. The MMA and other organizations are doing well and have their fan base but they will never phase boxing out. I recently went to Vegas to see the Hatton- Pacquioa fight and believe me, boxing is alive and well and for the moment simply sharing the light with Ultimate Fighting.

With boxing, the fan needs to see good quality fighters to peek their interests, with MMA and those dozens of devisions, it's in the fresh new stage of getting ones kick out of watching just about anybody kick the s*** out of each other. That's okay because that's what the sport is focussed to have us see. Ever notice how Dana White loses it on fighters because they didn't leave their own blood in the ring ?
My bio mistakenly says that I'm 13. I'm actually 60.I've been a fight fan and was active in it since 14.I've experienced boxing on all levels and I observe the sport on a level of noticing talent and looking for the best fighter to emerge, not necessarily to see who can beat the other to death. I watch MMA and I do enjoy many of the fights but I'll stand solid with boxing anyday. coast

I'm going to move this to the feedback & suggestions forum, so Tino will see it, but ultimately, it's up to him if he wants to add another subforum

Would love to actually hear your comparisons about the two sports. Some actual valid points rather than just "I like the ground and pound." That's the kind of posts that eventually validates new venues on here.

Not my cup of tea but if there isn't an appropriate forum for it then I don't see how it could hurt. It's probably ben requested before though so Tino might not think it's necessary.

Still worth thinking about though...

if Tino really wants to, he can name the subforum, "4 da barbarians."

boxing, in my eyes, is the top sport, and it's an art form and not half as barbaric as some people think it is.

I know too much about boxing at my age... I would just love to have a forum to drop off all of this knowlege.
