Should prostitutes pay tax on their earnings?

Should they be forced to pay tax like everyone else? Should they also be entitled to sick leave & holiday pay?

In some states and countries they do. They even have a union. Good luck getting taxes out of street prostitutes,

for benefits [ medical,sick pay,holiday pay, etc]

omg i don't think they should get paid at all. they should just do that s*** for freeeeeee. therefore no tax!!

I wonder if VAT can be charged on sex? or can you not charge VAT on swallowing.. cause that would be classed as a food... we dont charge VAT on food...

Hmmm... the money they get for services has already been taxed many times. Come on guys, dont goverments squeeze enough out of people as it is?!

this is like asking drug dealers to pay taxes for all of their sales.

In the UK ?770 million is spent per year on prostitution. If the profession was legalised the treasury would pick up ?250 million in taxes. Maybe they should pay tax as they are a burden on the health services. This ammount spent on prostitution compares with ?440 million per year that Brits spend on going to the cinema!

I wonder how much thier health benifits and insurance in the places where it is legal, costs?
Probably very expensive coverage, with all the risk involved, I would imagine.
