Shoplifting

A 70 year old woman was brought before the magistrates for shoplifting. When asked what she had stolen, she said, " A can of Peaches."
The magistrates asked he why she had stolen them and she told them that it because she was hungry.
When the magistrate opened the can, he found there were 6 peaches inside. So he pronounced, "You will go to Jail for 6 days."
From the back of the court her husband shouted, " But your honour, she also stole a can of peas ! "
