Picture this

You're a teenager
Something is eating you
You see your shrink they are adamant there is no creator
Your preachers is adamant there is
You learn you need to hear from a larger audience
You go to post your concern on reddit
but your post gets auto-trashed
You post again following the strict guidelines but told you have to wait twenty mins in between each post
Twenty mins later your post goes through but doesn't appear publically
Eventually you try again and you get the reddit crash page

You find this stonewall tactic is being used by all the commercial forums

You're about to snap but then manage to find a deep web forum
You post on there and the only replies are forensic pics with 'you!' photoshopped and pointing at the victim's corpses and a few embedded viruses.

Psychologically how does this spin the turnstyle for any age?
Your wife, kid and dog get an extra hiding that night?
If you don't hang yourself out of frustration who is getting the whipping that reddit, facey or Twitter is underhandedly encouraging?

Before all of this "connectedness" came to be...

We (I) stumbled across similar minded people in our own spheres of reality.

... high school, mall, roller rink, arcade ....

Our intense and personal conversations and revelations happened on a much smaller stage...
Behind the school on a saturday night, in someones basement, in a car at the drive-in.

No one shut us down, no one was looking for "likes".

You knew who people were, not what they wanted to be "on-line".

It was real. The connections weren't cut just because your battery went dead, or your computer crashed, or your modem glitched.

I think the "Higher connectedness" (need a better choice of words) leads to a deeper feeling of isolation when it's not there.

There are people behind the scenes sabotaging those who are vocal in forums; it's been a two decade setup; firstly they had to herd everyone into more controllable commerical situations

If someone twinks my posts on TFS it's only Tino
On Reddit? It's the government intelligence, white hats and political powers..

Facebook? You can only tell it to your grandma because no one is going to let you into their group let alone let you know it's there.

This isn't to say that I'm a grand influence but if that one man on Facebook some years ago accidentally started a coup in a small country with only his family as his primary audience....

It's so easy to d*** someone over nowadays, block their rants from reaching social media and let their answering machines intercept calls from laywers
No one has to be accountable. They can just smugly steal from you and avoid you afterwards

Unless you're a criminal organization who is going to seek retribution physically in person most of us are screwed if we takes risks trusting others

It's been of the past year that I still had concern about the suffering of others in this world despite it being fake
but having come to realization that vast majority of humans are selfish opportunists...I really really don't care anymore. I think the whole show has 'jumped the shark' and if the waters rise tomorrow beneath an unfiltered sun or a massive unstoppable mob of mad shooters start turning up everywhere around the globe then it is only god finally owning up to responsibility and putting down a bunch of dogs that should've been put down decades ago.

We shouldn't worry too much. Best just get a concealed cary and wait.

Violence will always be with us and it's best to be prepared for when it comes our way.

It isn't the actual killers that disturb me - those stupid and aggravated beasts are just as much victims themselves; it's the faceless majority that are intentionally encouraging those massacres from the remote comforts of the bureaucratic processes, policies, laws and rocks they hide under.

They hide in bushes pelting lions in the a** with bb pellets only to then release the lock on the lions' cage.

Sounds exciting. I would love to go back to a place where lions just roam around.

When I hear arguments about gun control I always think of them in terms of other phenomena we are witnessing in our society currently. The bigger picture if you will,

1) mass murderers
2) interest in socialism by academia and in popular culture
3) disappearing children en mass
4) anti-semitism
5) interest in white supremacy
6) the adolescent like political rhetoric
7) weakening of congressional power vs executive power
8) and gun control

Doesn't matter how "good" the good guy is. If he's not a criminal he gets to carry, at least for now under the law in the US.

As a gun owner, I find the idea that these make you think of gun ownership to be a bit off... possibly even disturbing...

As to these, feel free to describe how guns resolve the issues...

And then just a few comments....
1) mass murderers... aren't most of these perpetrated by gun owners?

2) interest in socialism by academia and in popular culture...

3) disappearing children en mass... there are mass kidnappings of children?

4) anti-semitism... hmmm...

5) interest in white supremacy... hmmm...

6) the adolescent like political rhetoric... Trump...

7) weakening of congressional power vs executive power.... Trump & the Republican Party...

8) and gun control.... what exactly is "gun control"?

I like the way the church established that - and it sounds like others have too.

A team of volunteers that carry and are prepared. I don't know if any other members were "allowed" to carry, but knowing "A good guy" is, reduces the concern/need for the other members to carry.

The aforementioned list of things happening today last happened during the rise of the Third Reich, including gun registration and subsequent confiscation.

Mass kidnapping/disappearances of children has been going on for a few decades. They started putting the faces of the missing on milk cartons. Now they post boards with their pictures at rest stops and Walmarts. It seems the media and as a result the public have become numb to this phenomena, or have just chosen to look away.

Do you mean that children have been kidnapped and/or disappeared for a long time?

Or are you saying that there are large scale mass kidnapping/disappearances of children?

The two are not the same thing.

Maybe you are numb to the kidnapped and/or disappearance of children but most of the public and media are not.

Do you live in the USA? "We" haven't had "gun registration and subsequent confiscation" of guns.
