Sex offenders and suspected terrorist?

I just heard this on CNN.

I thought it would be a great topic for the site to discuss.

The u.s. is trying to keep sex offenders past there sentence with no extra trial.

I think it is a good thing, maybe, but it kind of reminds me of how we treat suspected terrorist. Even the arguments of doing so sound familiar to the reasons for keeping detainees of suspected terrorist indefinitely.

I am fine with it. Sex offenders normaly never change it happends but it is rare.

Makes sense to me, it is an affliction that cannot be cured and the victims are truly innocents that cannot defend themselves.

I am fine with it, they are animals that deserve to be caged forever.

Sex offenders should be released ASAP to a clearing house and kept healthy for their body parts when ever and who ever needs them.

i am ok with it....but then this thing called the court of human rights would have a field day with it as they would say it is infringing on there human rights...

I don't believe a sex offender should EVER be released. The vicious cycle will not stop.

Wait, maybe I read the OP wrong. They are being kept past their sentence? So say for example they were sentenced to 10 years they are kept in prison past that? That's surely wrong.

Oh 'classed' yes unfortunately they do. I fail to see anything human about them. Like the 'sisters' from Shawshank Redemption.
