I have a sewage lift system in my basement bathroom that emits a terrible sewage odor. Is there an additive I can put directly in the sewage tank to stop the odor? Or is there another economical way to get rid of the smell. I am open for suggestions.
Thanks

Check to see if you have any cast iron sewage pipes in the system. If so examine them
carefully, especially their tops, they do get eaten out and should be replaced with PVC.

I don't fully understand what a lift system is,but I'm thinking that you haven't got a breather or stink pipe on your system and it could be that when you flush your toilet you are siphoning water out of one of your traps in one of your fixtures bath sink wc ect.which is allowing the smell from sewer or septic to permeate into the house
