Has the Steroid Scandal doomed MLB or did it save it?

Your thoughts.

We had the strike(s). The fans stayed home. All of a sudden the ball was leaving the park and we had the McGwire and Sammy race and boom the crowds returned.

What I do find interesting is now we hear Rose speaking out about how this has hurt baseball, etc.. Like he didn't!

Congress is now asking Roger Clemens and his trainer to come talk to them. Fun thing however, Bonds has not been invited to date!

It seems congress has decided to put off Roger's hearing. I bet until after the law suit is over.

I might acctualy like baseball if the players were all hoped up on steroids. Its running and hitting, why not use steroids? it improves the quality of the game! Its the closet that north america is ever going to get to my favroite game: weapon ball. Its baseicly any sport, but were the players are required to cary firearms. It may seem stange but it would become extreamly popular after the initial moral contradicions were put aside. As for steroids, they can only make baseball better, not worse.

But it is a game played on a equal playing field. What about those players who don't juice, should they?

This is not good and if Clemens lied to congress he is in a world of hurt.

Report: Physical evidence could damn Clemens Associated Press

(AP) - Brian McNamee has turned over physical evidence that Roger Clemens' former trainer believes will show the seven-time Cy Young Award winner used performance-enhancing drugs, McNamee's attorneys told The New York Daily News.

In the report, an anonymous source close to McNamee said the former trainer gave the Justice Department's BALCO investigators vials with traces of steroids and growth hormone, as well as bloodstained syringes and gauze pads.

McNamee's attorneys told the newspaper he has turned over the evidence to federal investigators but did not provide details of the evidence.

"This is evidence the government has that we believe will corroborate Brian in every significant way," one of McNamee's lawyers, Earl Ward, said in an article posted on the newspaper's Web site Tuesday.

McNamee told former Senate Majority Leader George Mitchell he injected Clemens with performance-enhancing drugs at least 16 times in 1998, 2000 and 2001. Clemens has vehemently denied ever using performance-enhancing drugs.

The big question know was Roger's wife injected with HGH, which imo is no big deal.

However, if congress now has 4x4s with Rogers blood on the and if they have syringe, etc.. Roger is in a world of hurt! A person just can't lie to congress and they may look to MLB just to see what they are going to do about this before they act.

Roger may have just ruined what was an outstanding baseball career and he records may go down the drain

I'm watching Roger before the House and it doesn't seem to be going well for him.

McNamee his trainer has been proven to be a liar, but has phyical evidence that coulds get Roger in alot of trouble.

McNamee is a former NY city police officer, so collecting evidence is not new to him.

Roger has some flaws in his story that he must address or Mr.Waxman may lower the boom!

The more Roger talked, licked his lips, etc... the worse he looked. He looked like he wasn't telling the truth.

We see that Mr. Waxman and his committee can bring in a private citizens and drill him for 4 hours and come away with very little. However, when it comes to keeping America safe, etc... that discussing and passing the FISA bill that the senate sent over Nancy and the left would rather go on vac.

The reason they used for not taking up this important bill sucked and once again the Left, the Democratic Party has shown once again that they are invested in the defeat of this country and instead of protecting the citizens of this country they would rather go on holiday.

Now we read where Mr. Waxman said, that he wishes he had never brought Roger and McNamee in.

Of course, it was not about MLB or these gentlemen, it was about Henry Waxman who has a flare for this type circus.

Votes and elections having means and we know see what happens when the left has the power to hold hearings!
