Has now started, tough first half between England and Australia, probably 2 of of only 3 countries (New Zealand) who can win it.

England had the better of the first half and seemed to have the Aussies rattled a bit but didn't take their chances and a purple patch from our boys has the Aussies up at half time. Hope they can keep it up, sick of watching the Poms win everything.

Well we played alright in the middle half. Well enough to beat the poms but hardly set the world on fire. Hopefuly they will improve as the world cup goes on.

From the moment we defeated the sais in the opening match we were always going to make the final and play either the poms or the kiwis...and the kiwis it is

Aussies have looked good all tournament, NZ are good enough to win though. Will be a good match.

Aye it should be a good game. The kiwis big 'fullas' certainly pose a threat. I reckon we have more attacking options esp out wide. After the number the AB's have done on us in recent times only a win here will do!

Kiwis a little shaky in the first 12 or so minutes.

Well what a top game from the Aussies. The first 55 mins all so were about as good as it gets. The only small black mark was the poor disipline at times.

This must go down as one of the best Kangaroo sides in recent years.

To keep the kiwis to just 2 pts in the final was very impressive...and all of the tries were something special. Just some great talent on display.

To be honest I was expecting a really equal contest, and thought the winning team would only take it by a few points.

Australia just wouldn't let the Kiwi's settle into the game.

I was expecting a real tight one too but when Slater and Thurstans are in that form they are near impossible to stop.

I reckon the in-goal area was just farsical. How no one was seriously hurt is a mystery. The in-goal really shouldnt be less than 10 mtrs. 4 mtrs is absurd. If they cant play on suitably sized pitches in the UK for league then dont hold the world cup there.

The lack of any padding and the steep slope at the ends of the ground didnt help either

Reckon the Rugby League world cup also needs a significant revamp. The reality is there are currently only 3 decent league sides in the world and then a massive gulf btw them and the rest. Have Australia, NZ and the poms smashing all the othe rteams until they meet one another does not really make for a capitvating series of contests
