He has a few more on there that were sound but I don't agree with everything that he promotes.

I don't want to lead or be responsible for promoting a leader.

Ron Paul is actually one of the more honest politicians that I can think of. I don't agree with a lot of what he says but he's worth listening to.

Didn't Jonnythan support him last time round?

I only know bits of him but I got the impression that he is a bit homophobic and quite right wing.

Ron Paul makes more sense than the big "Pudding" head Obama.

He's not homophobic.. But he's got absolutely no opinion about equal rights other than "it should be left to the states".

If he actually came out and said that he would repeal DOMA, he would have my vote in a second.

As for the right wing part, he says a lot of stuff that the right wing likes to hear, but what most people don't realize is that the left wing likes it too.

He thinks that states should be left to do as they wish, as long as it doesn't interfere with the full faith and credit clause of the constitution. He thinks that local governments should be larger and have more power, and the federal government should be smaller and less powerful.

All good ideas in theory, but he doesn't explain the details. I think he doesn't explain the details because if he did, he'd have to show that there are flaws, and that a lot of what he (and many citizens) would "like" won't work in the real world.

One example.. How do you tell states that they don't have to follow EPA guidelines for water quality, when rivers don't respect state lines?

What does Mississippi do if they want to have cleaner water standards than Iowa, when the Mississippi river runs from Iowa toward Mississippi?

That's why there has to be a federal standard set, and that's why the EPA has to exist.

He's at least better than listening to obama....I support him but I'm not at all positive he will even get enough votes to go to the primaries. To me he makes sense but I don't support every thing he says like you guys. He said he is going all in for this presidency and if he doesn't win he's going back home no longer a congressman. At least his son is still there.

i was listening to the radio in the car, last evening and heard ben ferguson make a bet with a caller, reception was a little staticky, but here's what i think i heard:

if ron paul gets elected, the caller can fly in and co-host one of ferguson's radio shows

the theme of the show was the iowa straw poll result and generally how michele bachmann isn't presidential

and the same for ron paul, but he made it clear that he thinks ron paul has no chance
