Ryan's attempted killing of Medicare will cause about unemployment for 2,000,000 private sector jobs. Considering that Medicare is very efficient (96% of funds go to beneficiaries)- this is a very stupid move.

Horrible choice. It may have solidified right side support, but they weren't going to vote for Obama anyways. Now Obama should have an easier job gaining independents.

Politifact shows that Ryan is a great attack dog for the GOP ticket- in that true & mostly true statements were 28%, 1/2 true or 1/2 false statements = 29%, while mostly false & pants on fire lies are 43% of his statements.

If Romney wanted to steal Obama's voters, this is not the way to go. He should have picked someone much more neutral, someone that could appeal to Democrats as well. Ah well.

I would guess so. I'd much prefer Obama have a different running mate. Biden will just ride the coat tails. I hope he does not open his mouth too much between here & November.

Romney needing to shore up his conservative base is very telling. Now Obama just needs to attract back the independents!
