I think the painful one is just upset because we're better looking, better in bed, and better dancers than he is.

Oh... and the OP isn't racist, it was an attempt to engage the black community into supporting and looking out for the black community, in hopes of making the entire community better.

Sadly for the painfulone, not everything that black people do is anti white.. Sometimes things can be pro black without being anti white.

So, you're reduced to mixing up quotes. That's as cheap as lies gets.

For the record:

I asked, "Would it be OK to have a Congressional White Caucus?"

To which drman answered, "There is one, it's called the Senate"

83% white!
Also 83% male.

All the others are just tokens!

I'm having trouble grasping the general theme of what people are posting, so somewhat lost in the relevance of colour, sex etc.

One would think that once we have become a truly color tolerant if not color appreciative society that the general makeup would mirror the racial/sexual/etc/etc makeup of the country. Has not yet. Getting better- but long way to go in many areas.

Not to mention, economic makeup.

Ok, a bit more with it now. My take on this kind of thing, is that the opportunity to be part of that is the problem and that designating quotas merely side steps the issue.

Ideally, you want the best people, not a box ticking exercise.

Whatever happened to them? They just sort of faded away from bumpers and the Internet racist slogan sites. Why? I can't say for sure but almost certainly one too many people asked, "What black on white crime is OK?" It was just a subtle form of racism that sneaks up on you.

So now I ask, why is there a Congressional Black Caucus? Would it be OK to have a Congressional White Caucus? Why not? What's the purpose of a race caucus? To shepherd biased legislation to favor a particular race?

As I recall, they were mostly on Pintos and other obsolete cars!

I wasn't trying to say they were, but that there's risk of heading down that road when the elite hand out token representation rather than the people being able to represent themselves fairly and without hinderance.

Don't get me wrong, I can quite easily believe there's a simular "old boy" network involved in who gets in to these places, but that problem starts long before you get to congress/senate.
