I understand your point on this.
I do too. It's just that the point is bigoted, completely emotive, illogical and wrong.
How many people actively oppose legitimate refugees seeking asylum? In western nations the answer would be, "an extremely small minority."
There is a difference between disliking immigrants and disliking the way immigration is being applied, or, the way some immigrants are allowed to behave. The emotive, illogical leftists tend to conflate these issues to make themselves appear virtuous.
I do not care about skin colour or nation of origin or anything else. If you engage in certain behaviours you need to be removed from the general population, and if you were born elsewhere you need to be returned to your nation of birth if such behaviours continue or reach a certain threshold.
As I said above, we should try to help people who come from areas of long term conflict, especially kids. Having taught quite a few such kids I know some of their back stories and they are hideous. Some of them act violently, and I think we fail them by not trying to counsel them though their problems.
