I've recently read two books that I really enjoyed - both fascinating reads that tell you more about psychology but not in a boring textbook way. They are:

Oliver Sachs The man who mistook his wife for a hat ISBN: 0330294911 Picador.

Geoff Rolls 'Classic case studies in psychology' ISBN: 0-340-88692-7. Hodder Arnold.

Can anyone recommend some others?

Thanks

I'm in the middle of reading a great book called From Panic to Power...the subject material covers psychology in general...but also gives you techniques to use in your every day life dealing with stress, anxieties, conquering fears, changing the way you think etc... I definitely recommend it to anyone who's interested.

It's called From Panic to Power by Lucinda Bassett

I forget what it's called, but there's one about bi-polar by Kay Redfield Jameson (not sure on the exact spelling).
