I can not speak for each nation/tribe only for me. I would leave it up too each Nation/Tribe.I can say Self Rule is important to most First Nations.

The US to follow the treaties.This child comes under the Blood quantum rule. The real issue for me is really the fathers rights no matter what blood/race. Above all else the father should have first rights and have attorney present and explain to them what they are signing off on. The mother gets this right.
